Through this Tech Thursday I guided staff on how to create a symbaloo and share it with their students, parents, or other staff members. I also created a screencast as seen in key concept 14. In addition, there is an example of a fractions Symbaloo we have made for our second graders.

In ET 680, Role of the Technology Leader, we learned about grant writing. With my partners, we evaluated several grants for educational technology to learn about the requirements for writing such grants. We learned that is important to be as precise as possible in identifying grants, the money needed, and how the grant will help meet your objective to promote student learning. One thing that Dr. Marcovitz also made clear, is that your grant should be captivating as those choosing the grant recipients have many others to read and your should stand out. In being a technology leader, it is important to know what grants are available and what you can do to attain them for your school.
