14.1 Candidates will be able to create screencasts for instructional purposes and/or professional development.
The purpose of the below screencast was to inform parents about how to sign up for Class Dojo. Class Dojo is a management and communication tool we use in 2nd grade. It is vital that all parents are connected as we communicate on student progress daily. This screencast provides parents with a step-by-step method on signing up. We played this at Back-to-School night and sent it home to support parents who still needed it.
There is also a screencast for Symbaloo. In this screencast teachers are given a very basic overview on creating a Symbaloo account and how to begin adding resources to a webmix.
14.2 Candidates will be able to create live videos for instructional purposes and/or professional development.
In the below video I created a live video to demonstrate real world application of our content focus on rules and laws. The county only provided us with a PowerPoint presentation telling about different rules and laws, so I really wanted to take it a step further to show students real live examples.
14.3 Candidates will be able to create interactive videos to meet learning objectives or professional development needs.
In the video below, students were able to watch about the butterfly life cycle and then take an interactive quiz afterwards. This video helped to support student understanding of the butterfly life cycle and the GoSoapBox quiz assessed their understanding to determine if they met learning objectives.
**I also had created a Zaption using a video on protecting and conserving water. Unfortunately with the closing of Zaption, I was unable to access that interactive video activity. Within it, I was able to pause the video and have students respond to multiple choice questions, circle items in the video using the drawing tool, as well as type in short responses.
