In taking what I've learned about being a technology leader, I decided to hold Tech Thursdays as a part of my internship. Each of these meetings were held on the final Thursday of the month, so that the schedule was predictable. In each meeting I highlighted a technology resource, allowed time for participants to engage, and was there to answer any questions. I also had time at the end for any miscellaneous questions about technology they might have not had time to ask until today's meeting. To try to meet as many people as possible, I also posted the presentations on our private folder to allow those who couldn't attend an opportunity to learn.
At the beginning of my internship I put out a technology survey to see what types of training the staff needed. This helped to curate the Tech Thursday content. Also, at the end of the year, I put out a check-in to see how well my role as a technology leader positively impacted staff. This allowed time for me to reflect on what went well and what could be improved in the future.
