In ET 630, Digitial Communication for Educators, we created a Critical Literacy Project. My project focused on upper elementary students and early middle school students. These mini-lessons aimed to teach students about finding credible sources using the foundation of the CRAPP model (currency, relevance, authority, accuracy, and purpose) for evaluating online resources. These mini lessons aim to utilize collaboration to explore and evaluate various online resources. I also wanted to focus on student engagement through the use of Flocabulary, since critical literacy can be a difficult subject.
